Fal Energy meeting 21st Feb 2013 summary

Fal Energy meeting: 21st Feb 2013. 6:45 to 9:00pm. Tremough Campus.

The first part of the meeting was dedicated to introducing FEP to Renewable Energy students and discussing how best to support each other. The 3 Years have different areas of interest and offers. Future meetings at Tremough will start at 6:30 to enable students to present their material. www.falenergy.org.uk can act as a public repository for individual work and projects.

The Fal Energy General meeting discussed the developing Solar Club and its launch during Climate Week on 5th March at Falmouth Farmers Market – 8:30am to 1:00pm on The Moor. The focus will be on one aspect of the Solar Club – domestic bulk purchase of solar panels. A promotional leaflet to be produced and distributed.

The Solar Model developed by Graeme Steer is proving to be a very valuable resource and is to be offered to Co-operatives and similar bodies, but is now in need of a software engineer to format for general use. FEP members have offered to produce promotion material for the model.

FEP’s first AGM is to be held on Thursday 11th April 7:30 in Falmouth Council Chambers with a high profile speaker. Please book the date in your diary to support FEP’s progress and even offer yourself as one of the new Directors.

Next meeting: Thursday 21st March seminar Room C at Tremough Campus. 6:30 to 7:30pm Students. 7:30 to 9:00pm FEP general meeting.
